What is Alertpay?

Alertpay is a very user friendly payment processor (payment service), it’s free to join and it allows you to send and receive money online. AIertpay was established in June 2005 and is legitimate company based in Canada.

Alertpay’s online payment system provides businesses and individual the ability to pay and receive payments entirely online, allowing for a quick transfer of funds. One of the more important things to understand is that Alertpay users have the capability to transfer funds without disclosing any financial or personal information.

For anyone who thinks AlertPay is some sort of scam, they’d be very wrong. People think that just because some of the businesses using AlertPay became scams that AlertPay must be a scam. That’s simply not true; this unique payment processor is just like an online bank. It cannot guarantee that all the businesses that use it will remain legitimate, but they are a legit.

AlertPay is consider Paypal’s twin, at least to us it does. Alertpay offers a wide variety of services which included, the transfer of funds, bank withdrawals and deposits, currency exchanges, and much more. AlertPay supports 23 different currencies and is available for use in 206 countries all over the world.

By August of 2008, Alertpay had 2.1 million registered accounts.

Alertpay is fully committed to the idea of knowing there customer on a personal and business level. This ensures a safe transactions and a secure program for all members. Respect for their account holders privacy is an important part of what has made Alertpay one of the leading companies in online payment. They stand by their stated Privacy Policy to ensure that each customer’s identity is known only to them.

Each dollar deposited into registered Alertpay accounts is insured by the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation as well as the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Canada and the United States. Each account is held with federally chartered and regulated banks.

Alertpay Accounts

There are 3 different account types for Alertpay:

Personal: You can only receive up to a maximum of $400 per month and $2000 per year. No fees are charged. (If you’re going to get an Alertpay account you mind as well get a Personal Pro account.


Personal Pro: First off there is no receiving limits, most online business prefer doing business with individuals who have a verified Personal Pro accounts. You will also have access to features like: Mass Pay, Integration tools, and website payment methods. Receiving fees: 2.5% + $0.25 per transaction. (we suggest Personal Pro more options and no limits, it’s still free)


Business: Same features as the premium account but with additional security for accepting mass amounts for payments. Receiving fees: 3.9% + $0.59 per transaction.
